Beta silicon carbide extrudates

The SICAT β-SiC extrudates present intermediate surface areas (up to 35m2/g), with pore sizes in the meso and macroporous ranges. Pore volumes (up to 0.7cm3/g) and pore size distributions (mono or bimodal) can be customized over a broad span to meet process specifications. Further developments will include enhanced macroporosity with significant pore volumes in pore diameters of 10 to 100 microns.

Due to SICAT's unique " self bonding beta-SiC " process, all products show outstanding mechanical strength. Shapes include cylinder, as well as rings, trilobes, tubes.

Diameters can be tailored, for example 1 to 5mm cylinders.
